PART 3
TANTRIC SEXUALITY FOR THE WOMAN
The feminine relationship to sexual energy, pleasure, and embodied presence.
Whatever your experience of sex has been, we're sure it's good. But what if there is more?
We're not here to tell you that you've been doing it wrong. We're here to share something that, when we first encountered it, quietly blew our minds: that the map of what's possible in sexual experience is vastly larger than most of us have ever been shown.
Tantric and yogic traditions have been exploring that larger map for thousands of years. This week we look at what they specifically discovered about the male experience, not as a critique of how men are, but as a genuine opening. A door that, once you know it's there, you can choose to walk through.
Or not. But at least you'll know it exists.
01
Orgasm and ejaculation are two different things. Most men have never been taught this, and it's genuinely fascinating. The physical contraction of orgasm and the expulsion of semen are distinct biological processes. Tantric practice opens the possibility of experiencing the full wave of orgasmic pleasure, without ejaculation. The pleasure deepens and the energy stays in the body.
02
That internal charge is a resource, not just a pressure. The aroused energy that builds in the body, called Ojas in the yogic tradition, has long been understood as one of the most potent forces available to a man. When consciously circulated rather than discharged, it is said to feed clarity, creativity, presence, and vitality. What if the thing you have been releasing is also the thing that powers everything else?
03
Energy can travel. In tantric practice, a man learns to consciously move aroused energy from the genitals upward along the spine, toward the heart and the brain. Rather than releasing outward, the energy nourishes inward. Love and consciousness fed by the most alive force in the body.
04
Sexual attraction is cosmic in nature. In traditional teachings, what we experience as desire is far more than personal chemistry. It is the physical expression of the eternal dance between two cosmic opposites, what the Taoists call Yin and Yang, and what the tantrics know as Shiva and Shakti, forever seeking wholeness in each other. That pull you feel toward another person is not random. It is cosmic. Something to be met, felt fully, and explored. That shift in understanding alone changes everything.
The familiar path: Arousal builds, reaches its peak, releases. The body relaxes, energy drops, rest follows. A complete and natural cycle, one that most of us know well, and that has its own satisfaction.
What else is there: Arousal builds, is met with presence and breath, and begins to move through the whole body. The peak doesn't arrive as an ending. It expands. Energy rises rather than falls. Connection deepens rather than closes. The experience becomes something that carries you, rather than something that passes.
"Most men have never been shown that another way exists. The energy you have been releasing is the same energy that feeds your clarity, your presence, and your capacity to love."
After ejaculation, many men notice a particular feeling. A tiredness. A wish to withdraw or sleep. Sometimes a subtle distance from their partner that wasn't there before. This is sometimes called la petite mort, the little death, a shift in energy that follows when the body releases rather than circulates.
Many men have felt this and never had language for it. And once you notice it, a natural question arises: what would it feel like to go the other way? To feel more connected afterward, not less?
That question is the beginning of the tantric exploration for men. A genuine wondering about what else might be there.
One breath before the reflex:
This week, whenever you feel the first wave of arousal building, pause. Just for a moment. Take one conscious breath into your belly.
Notice the quality of the sensation. Notice where it lives in your body. Not to change what happens next. You are not trying to stop anything. You are simply choosing to be present with what is there, before the reflex takes over.
That pause, brief, deliberate, curious, is already a tantric act. It is, in its small way, the whole practice: presence meeting energy, before the moment passes. See what you notice.
Sex is one of the most central experiences of a human life, and yet somehow, it's one of the things we know least about. We receive almost no real education on it. We rarely talk about it honestly, even with the people we share it with. Sometimes we struggle to find the words at all. Isn't that worth pausing on?
Next week we turn to the female experience, something every man who loves a woman will want to receive with an open heart, and every woman deserves to know about her own body and being. The sky really is the limit.

01
Sexual energy is a life force, not just a reproductive one. From a Tantric perspective, it is the fundamental spark that animates the body and the most potent resource we carry.
02
You can feel it. You probably already have. Think of a moment of genuine creative inspiration, a surge of aliveness after cold water, or the electricity before a first kiss. That charge is not separate from sexual energy. In Tantric understanding, it is the same current moving through different channels.
“This is a pull quote — an evocative, large italic serif quote set off with a cream background and a gold left border.”
Sit quietly for 10 minutes each morning and track sensations.

Tantric sexuality for men is an approach to sex that brings awareness, breath, presence, and energy into the sexual experience. Instead of focusing only on arousal, performance, or ejaculation, tantric practice explores how sexual energy can move through the whole body and deepen intimacy.
Orgasm and ejaculation are related, but they are not the same thing. Orgasm refers to the wave of pleasure and muscular contraction in the body, while ejaculation is the release of semen. In tantric practice, men may explore the possibility of experiencing orgasmic pleasure without immediately ejaculating.
Some tantric and Taoist traditions teach that men can learn to experience orgasm without ejaculation through breath, relaxation, pelvic awareness, and energy circulation. This is not something to force or perform. It is usually developed gradually through practice, sensitivity, and a better understanding of the body.
Tantra views sexual energy as more than physical desire. It is understood as a powerful life force that can support vitality, creativity, clarity, intimacy, and spiritual awareness. Instead of releasing this energy automatically, tantric practice explores how to feel it, circulate it, and meet it with presence.
Not mainly. Lasting longer can be a side effect, but it is not the real point. Tantric sex is less about control or endurance and more about presence, sensitivity, breath, connection, and the ability to stay conscious inside arousal.
Many men notice tiredness, relaxation, sleepiness, or emotional withdrawal after ejaculation. This is not wrong or bad. Tantra simply invites men to become curious about this pattern and ask what might happen if sexual energy were circulated instead of immediately released.
No. Ejaculation is natural and healthy. Tantra does not need to become another system of shame or control. The tantric question is not “How do I stop ejaculating forever?” but “Can I become more conscious of what happens before, during, and after release?”
